DAN CATHY is CEO of one of the nation's largest family-owned businesses, Chick-fil-A's Dan Cathy represents the next generation of leadership for the Atlanta-based fast-food chicken restaurant chain founded by his father, S. Truett Cathy. Cathy’s passion for his community can be felt through his involvement in numerous organizations, including the Eagle Ranch, the Carter Center, the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and the Georgia Aquarium. He is also a member of the Atlanta Committee for Progress, and in 2015 was awarded the Four Pillar Tribute by the Atlanta Council for Quality Growth.
EDMUND CHAN is a seasoned disciple-making pastor. The Leadership Mentor in Covenant Evangelical Free Church (Singapore), Edmund is widely regarded as an insightful Bible expositor and a wise mentor of Christian leaders. In 1995, he launched the annual Intentional Disciple-Making Church (IDMC) conferences, which have drawn over 1000 pastors and disciple-making leaders from more than 150 churches from over 18 countries. Chan also serves on the advisory councils of several Christian organizations and has authored Built To Last: Towards A Disciple-making Church, Growing Deep in God, Mentoring Paradigms, and Growing Deep in Faith.
JONATHAN CHANG is Director of Investments at Pacific Castle in charge of all underwriting and acquisitions. Since his arrival at Pacific Castle he has acquired over $400 Million in retail real estate for Pacific Castle. Prior to joining Pacific Castle Mr. Chang was a principal in a tech startup that was acquired and thereafter went public for a valuation of over $1 Billion Dollars. Mr. Chang continues to serve on the board of multiple tech ventures and actively invests in tech start ups and other companies which allows him to have a unique perspective in viewing and underwriting real estate investments. He is also an active within his local church Saddleback Church in Irvine, CA and spends most of his free time trying to corral his 4 year old daughter Ellie and 2 year old son Elijah with his wife Esther.
WAYNE CHENG has been the founder, principal shareholder, director and an executive officer of various affiliates of Pacific Castle, which have acquired numerous properties with a market value in excess of $1 billion. Affiliates of Pacific Castle currently own and/or manage a portfolio of premier shopping centers in the western United States. The total portfolio is comprised of nearly 1.5 million square feet across 18 properties. From 1987 to 1989, Mr. Cheng was a professional accountant at Ernst & Young (formerly Arthur Young, CPA’s) in Los Angeles, California and prior to that worked in the tax department of KPMG Peat Marwick. Wayne has been an active member of Saddleback Church since 2005. His participation included a trip to Rwanda, Africa, in touring and assisting various church projects; being a long-time member of Kingdom Builder business group, assisted in the creation of church’s Food Pantry ministry, played a role in church’s food distribution during Covid-19 pandemic (served 100,000 families with 4.8 million pounds of food, equivalent of 3.9 million meals). Wayne has participated in several events with A3, including a Marketplace weekend event in Seoul, Korea.
ROBERT C. DOLL, CFA is a senior portfolio manager and chief equity strategist at Nuveen. Bob manages seven portfolios, including large caps and alternatives. He is a highly respected authority on the equities markets among investors, advisors and the media. As the author of widely followed weekly commentaries and annual market predictions, Bob provides ongoing, timely market perspectives. Prior to joining Nuveen, Bob held similar roles at other large asset management firms, including serving as chief equity strategist at BlackRock, president and chief investment officer of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and chief investment officer of Oppenheimer Funds, Inc.
MIKE DUKE joined Walmart in 1995, serving as the executive in charge of the company's international operations. He became the CEO of Walmart in February 2009. In 2010 he set goals to make Walmart energy efficient as possible and to open Walmart stores in countries like Russia. In 2012, his salary was $18.2 million. Duke ranked No. 10 on Forbes list of The World's Most Powerful People in 2013. That same year, Walmart ranked No. 15 on Forbes list of Most Patriotic Brands—and the only retailer on the list—as voted by U.S. consumers. Duke earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1971.
EMMANUEL FAN has been a business executive in his family-owned corporation that develops and manufactures nutritional products. He has been instrumental in expanding their network of distributors and customers throughout the Pacific Rim, by building multi-channel distribution relationships across markets. Emmanuel’s calling has been to engage in building relational bridges individually as well as corporately. On the home front, Emmanuel has been married to Rebecca for 20+ years with two teenage daughters Juliette and Elise. They enjoy hiking and biking in the community and on the trails, playing board games with friends, old and new, and enjoying tasty foods and restaurants.
DANIEL FONG started Million Dollar Baby (now called Namesake in 1990 when Daniel read that it cost one million dollars to raise a child. He recognized the need for reliable baby products that came at a great value. The company was featured in a 2015 article in Bloomberg Businessweek. Daniel describes himself as a “Full-time follower of Christ. Glorifying God with excellence through practicing 'love thy neighbour' at our company of talented and committed employees.”
RAM GIDOOMAL is a businessman and entrepreneur. In 2011 he was appointed Chairman of Traidcraft and the Lausanne Movement Board of Directors. Past roles include UK Chief Executive of the Inlaks Group, Crown appointee to the Court and Council of Imperial College London, and founder of the Christmas Cracker Charity which has raised over £5million and engaged upwards of 50,000 young people in the process. Was a candidate for London Mayor for the Christian Peoples Alliance in 2000 and 2004 gaining nearly 100,000 votes in each election.
PROMOD HAQUE has served as senior managing partner at Norwest Venture Partners since 2013, where he focuses on enterprise and healthcare IT. He has invested in more than 70 companies that have produced more than $40 billion in exit values, and had more than 20 portfolio companies go public and more than 30 have been acquired. He is a member of the board of trustees of Biola University.
BILL HASLAM is an American businessman and politician who served as the 49th Governor of Tennessee from 2011 to 2019. He was previously the mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee. Born in Knoxville, Haslam is a graduate of Emory University. He began his career in business, joining his father, Jim Haslam, who was the founder of Pilot Corporation. Haslam rose to president of Pilot Corp in the 1990s. Haslam then left Pilot and from 1999 to 2001 was the CEO of the e-commerce and cataloging division at the department store chain Saks Fifth Avenue. He then became a consultant at Saks, served on the board of directors at Harold's Stores, Inc. and still remains a co-owner of the minor league baseball team the Tennessee Smokies. Entering a career in politics, Haslam was elected Mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee in 2003, serving until 2011, and then became Governor with 65% of the vote. A 2015 Forbes article estimated Haslam's net worth at $2 billion, making him the nation's richest elected official at that time. Haslam was term-limited and did not seek re-election to the governorship in 2018.
JACK HOLLIS is executive vice president Toyota Motor North America and president of Toyota Motor Sales. In his role, Jack is responsible for product planning, sales, marketing, distribution and customer service for the Toyota and Lexus brands in North America. Hollis has twice been named an Automotive News All-Star; in 2017, he was named by Business Insider one of the 50 most innovative CMOs in the world, and in 2018 he was named to the AdWeek 50. Hollis holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stanford University. He was also a member of Stanford’s NCAA National Baseball Championship team and the Cincinnati Reds for two seasons.
KAREN HUNG is the Founder and CEO of Silver Rock Consulting. She is the leader and key evangelist of the firm. Prior to founding Silver Rock Consulting, Karen held officer and executive roles with Lands’ End, GE, Ann Taylor, Citigroup and a privately held healthcare company. With a focus on enterprise and business transformation, Karen’s expertise spans multiple industries, including financial services, retail, pharmaceuticals and CPG.
SKYE JETHANI is an author, speaker, consultant and ordained pastor. He serves as the co-host with Phil Vischer of the popular Holy Post Podcast. Between 2004 and 2015, Skye occupied numerous roles at Christianity Today (CT), a leading communications ministry launched by Billy Graham. He served as both the managing and senior editor of Leadership Journal and as the Director of Mission Advancement for CT.
SO-YOUNG KANG is a pioneer and serial entrepreneur. She founded Gnowbe, a mobile-first, microlearning and employee experience solution, growing out from her first company, Awaken Group, a multi-disciplinary Transformation Design (TD) firm that integrates strategy, leadership and innovation to catalyze change. Her experience also includes McKinsey & Company, Harvard Business School and Citigroup. With the impact of her work, she was nominated to be a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014.
WILL NICKLAS is a retired executive from Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, U.S.A., having built his entire career with Toyota in various divisions and locations. He most recently served as the president of Toyota Insurance Management Solutions (TIMS), Toyota’s product development and distribution channel for new, data- driven auto insurance offerings. Will is a former board member of the Union Rescue Mission, one of America’s largest downtown missions, and is a graduate of California State University at Fullerton where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international business with an emphasis in Japanese.
EDWIN KEH is currently the CEO of The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel. Edwin lectures at The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. Until 2010, Edwin Keh was the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Wal-Mart Global Procurement. Prior to Wal-Mart, Edwin managed a consulting group that has done work on supply chain, manufacturing, and product design.
DAVID D. KIM, Founder of Telos Venture Capital, has corporate finance and corporate law background and has been advising and investing in startups for over a decade. David serves faithfully at his church, Menlo Pres in Silicon Valley as a ruling elder, and is active in the world of global missions in partnership with various agencies. David is a former member of the A3 board of directors, offering expertise and serving as a catalyst to help launch A3.business to empower marketplace leaders.
TERRY LOOPER is the Founder of Texon LP and serves as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Looper was a Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Petro Source Corp. from 1981 to 1989. He also served as its Chief Operating Officer and Director. He held managerial positions for Hill Petroleum. Mr. Looper began his career in 1970 as Engineer with Monsanto Co, where he worked from 1970 to 1980. Mr. Looper was a Member of Advisory Board of Haddington Ventures,
SUE PLUMB TAKAMOTO, Ph.D., As a missionary and entrepreneur based in NE Japan, Sue founded Nozomi Project as a microenterprise endeavor following the Great Disaster of NE Japan in March 2011, and she continues to serve as CEO. She has been a missionary in Japan with her husband Eric for nearly 20 years. Living in Ishinomaki, Japan, and partnering with Be One and A3.business, she is thankful to be working in the region badly hit by the 2011 earthquake/tsunami and loves the friendships they are making there. Having earned her Ph.D. in Leadership under Bobby Clinton at Fuller Seminary, she teaches on leadership with A3, including A3.business. In addition to teaching and being a wife of Eric and mom of four, Sue is also lending her expertise in helping to launch a microenterprise project in Cambodia.
FRANCIS TSUI, D.Min. has extensive experiences in financial advisory services, family office and wealth management, as well as direct investment and business development consultancy. Since 2000, Mr. Tsui has founded and served as the President and Director of DMC Investment Co. Ltd., a private investment company in Hong Kong. He also has wide experiences as INED with listed companies listed on the American Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Exchange for over a decade. Mr. Tsui is also one of the Founding Members of the Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executive Association.
